In 2021, The Children Of Light was proud to announce it had launched the GAME CHANGER Initiative for the positive advancement of Richmond City students and their families, in an effort to increase graduation rates, decrease dropout rates and reduce violent crime by enhancing the educational process for our children and providing a clearer path that ensures post-secondary success, with the community at the wheel. 

 

Everyday, people complain about the many downfalls and issues, within the school system and community. We must begin to recognize the root of the issues within our communities that contribute to a "culture of poverty" and offer workable solutions to mitigate them.  The Game Changer Initiative addresses these challenges, headon, to "right the wrongs" stemming from the systematic mis-education of Black, Brown and poor people for decades.
